Brand Guidelines generates push message copy from rules you define plus a short prompt. It returns options to choose from and holds to the tone you set. Brand Guidelines is available to all clients on the marketing subscription.

What changed

Before Brand Guidelines, push copy was written by hand each time, and brand consistency depended on the writer. Now you set up your rules once, and Brand Guidelines produces on-brand copy from a short prompt on the creative page.

How to use it

  1. Have an admin set up your brand voice. Under Settings, describe how messages should sound (voice, tone, and message type). See the access note below on who can do this today.
  2. Open the creative page for a push message.
  3. Enter a short prompt describing the message you want.
  4. Review the options Brand Guidelines returns. Refresh for a new set if none fit.
  5. Select a version and continue building your push message.

How Brand Guidelines builds a version

Brand Guidelines draws on three layers, in order:

  1. Org rules: your tone, voice, and standards.
  2. Message-type direction: promotional, transactional, or informational.
  3. Campaign hint: one line of context you type per campaign, for example "40% off, summer sale."

Keep campaign specifics in the prompt or hint, not in a guideline. Set up a separate guideline for each message type you send, so Brand Guidelines applies the right tone and rules to each.

Review before you send

Brand Guidelines drafts; you decide. Check any detail Brand Guidelines cannot know on its own, dates, offer amounts, and expiration windows, before a message goes out. Brand Guidelines will not set a discount percentage on its own.

Limitations and known gaps

  • Brand Guidelines is available on the creative page for push messages only. The in-app message builder is not supported yet.
  • Brand voice setup is admin-only today. Marketer-role access is a submitted feature request, not yet shipped.
  • Brand Guidelines is on by default. To turn it off for a client with AI governance concerns, ask your CSM to apply the feature flag.
  • Brand Guidelines generates text only in this release. Styles and colors are not part of the output.

Turning Brand Guidelines off

If you would rather not use Brand Guidelines, ask your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to turn it off for your account.
